Also originally from Yorkshire, Paul has spent over 25 years practicing in Argyll. He founded D M Mackinnon Estates, growing it into the largest independent rural chartered surveying practice and estate agency in the region before merging with Bell Ingram, where he became a main board director. In 2018, he co-founded The Estates Office with Sophie, guiding its steady growth year after year.
Throughout his career, Paul has played a key role in the sale, purchase, and valuation of some of Argyll’s most notable properties, from the island of Ulva to the estate of Pennyghael and many others. His deep knowledge of the region’s property history over the past 50 years makes him a trusted source of advice and insight.
Beyond work, Paul’s greatest passions include travel and rewilding the island of Balnagowan, alongside spending time with his far-flung family.
