October Update
October 2025
As October settles over Argyll and beyond, the Highlands and Islands truly come into their own, showcasing a stunning tapestry of rich autumnal colours. The crisp air, golden foliage, and dramatic landscapes make this a spectacular time of year to explore the estates we manage and enjoy the seasonal pursuits that define country living. We feel incredibly lucky to live and work in such a remarkable part of Scotland, surrounded by natural beauty.
This month has been buzzing with activity at The Estates Office as our estates turn their focus to country sports, one of which is Lochnell Sporting. Their club days have been a fantastic opportunity for enthusiasts to enjoy the shooting season in stunning surroundings. Whether you’re a seasoned shot or trying it for the first time, the expert team ensures a memorable experience in the heart of nature.
We were delighted to host The Country Girls UK shoot at Lochnell Sporting, bringing together members from across the country to enjoy this quintessential sporting tradition. It was a perfect showcase of camaraderie, skill, and the breathtaking estate setting that makes Lochnell so special.
And with country sports comes country hospitality, which has been expertly provided by Forest, Field and Glen. They cater for these events using seasonal and local produce - such as their own Venison and produce from Lochnell Estate! It’s hard to beat a good Elevenses on shoot day. Forest, Field and Glen have also been busy out on the Hill during the Rut. With the Stag Season coming to an end their focus now moves onto the Hinds.
Back at the office, the team has been incredibly busy working with estates on Islay, releasing some stunning properties to the market. We’re thrilled to be involved and even more excited to bring these incredible opportunities to buyers. They really are outstanding chances to renovate, build, and create something truly special. Keep an eye on our listings - these opportunities are perfect for anyone looking to invest in a slice of Scottish countryside, whether it’s for a dream home, a getaway, or development potential.
October is a reminder of why we love working in such a vibrant and diverse landscape. From the changing seasons and the beauty of the Highlands and Islands to the thrill of sporting days and the promise of new properties, we truly feel fortunate to call this area home.
