November Update

As the weather turns colder and the days grow darker, the lights at The Estates Office have been shining brightly. November has been a month of momentum, full of travel, property work, valuations and a touch of festive joy.

We’ve spent much of the month travelling back and forth to the beautiful Isle of Islay, working closely with Islay Estates to bring a selection of exciting properties to market. These buildings, now surplus to the Estates’ current requirements and future plans, range from charming cottages and historic gatehouses to farmhouses, crofts and plots of land.

Each one offers something unique: character, potential, and the opportunity for a new lease of life. Whether it's restoration, redevelopment or the start of a fresh story, these properties present truly special possibilities for the right buyer.

When we haven’t been hopping on and off CalMac ferries, we’ve been travelling throughout Argyll and the Islands, keeping a close eye on the estates we manage. Ensuring the smooth running of each estate is at the heart of what we do - from regular check-ins to responding swiftly to anything that needs attention.

November also brought a significant number of inheritance tax valuations, as well as a busy schedule of property viewings, including the George Street Flat and Gardeners Cottage.

We’ve continued to work through our winter maintenance programme for our self-catering properties, making sure everything is protected, prepared and in perfect shape for the colder months ahead.

And to round off a bustling month, we enjoyed taking part in the St Conan’s Kirk Christmas Tree Festival, decorating our tree for this year’s event - now proudly celebrating its tenth anniversary. It’s always a joy to support such a special community tradition.

November has certainly kept us on our toes, and we’re looking forward to a busy and exciting winter season ahead.
